From the people

“When a council refuses to act on behalf of its constituents’ strong opposition, something is very wrong.

We sat through the meeting in disbelief. We look forward to next year’s election!
If the mayor had had his way a few years ago, a soccer complex would be in N. Highland Lake versus The Park at Flat Rock.

About ten years ago, our mayor didn’t fight proposed development of Mountain Lodge land, but thanks to the dedicated community and the board of the Historic Flat Rock, Inc., a buyer was found and the historic house and its land are restored and under historic easement.

We are thankful to Nick Weedman for having the backbone to stand up and openly voice his own opposition to the road project.” – online comment
