Those projections took into account other projects, such as plans to widen I-26, but a lot of things can change in 12 or 22 years.
Residents along 191 say traffic on the road has actually decreased over the past decade, and safety improvements now underway to install turn lanes near two schools will further nullify the need for more lanes.
