Roundabout project

We have added information on the Erkwood Dr/Shepherd St/Greenville Hwy roundabout project (NCDOT U-5105) online. While this project is not inside the Village of Flat Rock limits, its proximity to the village and its effect on Greenville Highway traffic have significant ramifications for our community.

Residents have a chance to learn more about the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Draft 10-Year transportation plan for 2020-29 at open houses in Asheville and Sylva through March 1. Just confirmed by NCDOT via email to CLG, the new covered signs on Greenville Highway and N. Highland Lake Road are detour signs for the upcoming Erkwood/Shepherd St. roundabout construction.
