The September 2019 issue of The Village Record, the Village of Flat Rock official newsletter, has been mailed to every village property owner. Inside is Citizen Survey for you to complete. The Cultural Landscape Group:Flat Rock requested last year that the village undertake a community survey when we discovered that the last valid village survey was done in 2004, and we appreciate that we were included in the process of developing this.

The very 1st question tries to exclude those who own property her, but vote elsewhere. Very disappointing, especially after it was specifically pointed out to the person putting the survey together,the importance of those folks to our tax base.

Perhaps treat that question as “how long have you owned property in Flat Rock?”

I never received the survey, even though I’ve been a tax payer in Village of Flat Rock since 2002, and a Henderson County tax payer since 1982.
