Why are you running for Village Council?
I love the village of Flat Rock and will work diligently to serve our residents, rather than outside interests or groups. I bring almost 40 years of corporate organization and implementation experience, as well as the ability to forge consensus between divergent groups in order to achieve the greater good.
I believe in transparency in government, fiscal responsibility, low tax rates, strong property rights as provided for by the U.S. Constitution, and soliciting the input of our residents, both full-time and part-time, before making major decisions concerning our village. We in Flat Rock have a unique historic, cultural and ecological heritage in North Carolina that has been preserved through the work of good stewards for over 200 years.
If elected I will strive to continue that tradition of good and faithful stewardship. I will work to improve council transparency, and to lower our property taxes for 2020. I will also push to stop the current North Highland Lake Road project and implement a more sensible approach to fix the few problems that exist there. . . Continue reading
