From the Times-News online:
The widening of the controversial North Highland Lake Road project will not face a roadblock from the Henderson County Board of Commissioners following a unanimous vote Wednesday to continue support for the project.
Commissioners said they must consider the county as a whole when looking at the project, as drivers from other municipalities and visitors also travel the road. . .
The Flat Rock Village Council, which has a new majority that opposes the project, has passed resolutions opposing the road project.
A majority of the road is located in the village, and a small portion in Hendersonville. Hendersonville City Council passed a resolution last week supporting the project. . .
