Tree trimming in the village

Duke Energy has begun trimming trees in the Flat Rock area, generally in the south and eastern parts of the village and a small section in the northwest corner (see map). The work is being performed by Asplundh Tree and the crew foremen will be communicating with customers as the work progresses. The work is expected to continue until early March.

If you are an affected homeowner/landowner and have any questions, please let the Village Hall know and they can put you in contact with the appropriate supervisor.

  1. Hi. Thank you for keeping us informed and up to date on issues of interest to Flat Rock residents. It is appreciated.

My question is when should we expect the missing Historic Flat Rock signs to be replaced?

The one by Dunroy on Rutledge was destroyed almost 2 years ago during a motor vehicle accident. I’m unsure of the status of the others, although I understood the one on Greenville Hwy would also need to be replaced.

    Thank you. Don Huneycutt

    1. Hi Don – The Historic Flat Rock signs are owned and installed by Historic Flat Rock, Inc. (not by CLG or the Village of Flat Rock). It’s our understanding that HFR is in the process of getting new signs since several of them have been damaged over the years. Hopefully, those will be up soon!
